The timing of refueling is everything. The longer the session, the more important it will be. Solid allows athletes to mimic their normal eating pattern in the middle of a session. Consume textured, chewy fuel at times when you would normally eat something solid. Maintain balance and rhythm, limiting gastrointestinal stress.

You deserve it

Solid contains a blend of glucose and fructose that shows similar absorption rates to carbohydrate drinks during low to medium intensity sessions. Here's something to chew on.

Most “energy” bars are made to be consumed as a snack. SOLID, on the other hand, is designed to boost both performance and recovery. They are worlds apart: one is aimed at the top shelf of the supermarket, the other at the top of the podium.

However, almost all athletes who tried SOLID highlighted its pleasant oat and rice-based texture and its natural flavor. Which, along with a minimal ingredient list that delivers a high-carb, low-fiber fuel, is a winning combination.

High in carbohydrates, low in sugar

With all kinds of sugars.

SOLID contains a large amount of carbohydrates, more than most bars out there. The flavor also offers a good level of sweetness. Don't be fooled into thinking that we have only loaded our SOLIDs with sugar to achieve this. Carbohydrates and sweetness come from a variety of sources: sugar, oats, and rice.

Maurten Solid is intentionally low in fiber. Fiber stays in the stomach longer, which slows down metabolism and helps reduce gastrointestinal discomfort. Maurten Solid only contains 11 ingredients: everything you need, nothing you don't.

We didn't set out to make a commercial product when we started our SOLID journey. We thought, "If we make a bar that's good enough for one elite cyclist or athlete, it'll be good enough for all athletes."

When we researched it and talked to our athletes, we realized that there simply weren't many options for a performance-focused bar. SOLID is the result. Pure and simple.

Complements for Hydrogel

A solid complement to your nutrition with hydrogel

SOLID does not replace training and racing with hydrogel, it complements them.

For marathon runners, SOLID is a perfect post-session or post-race recovery snack to replace carbs. It also works as a pre-race meal alternative.

For cyclists, SOLID is an excellent fuel option for low to medium intensity rides and as a before and after snack.

For ultra runners, standard nutrition advice is to eat something solid every 4 hours. The salt content in SOLID is also an advantage for replacing sodium levels during long training sessions and races.
