They look like regular hiking boots, but the Chilkat V boots are updated with a waterproof and breathable design to keep your feet dry. They also feature a Surface Control™ sole, which promotes forward propulsion with every stride and is optimized for winter conditions. The collar is designed to provide support and stability around the ankle, and the heel clips allow them to be used with snowshoes. Furthermore, the streamlined design promotes natural foot flexion with every step, just as you would expect from a good pair of winter hiking boots. They also incorporate Heatseeker™ thermal insulation for maximum warmth, and the insoles are molded to retain air and prevent heat loss to the ground.
